DES MOINES, Iowa — Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton got the help of some star power Saturday during her Iowa rally.
Pop singer Katy Perry accompanied the Democratic front-runner to the event, and eventually took over Clinton’s Instagram account for the day.
“Katy Perry here, taking over Hills’ IG today for the rally in Iowa,” wrote Perry to more than 22,000 likes. The first post showed Perry’s nails painted with Hillary’s campaign logo.
Perry went on to share photos from Iowa — and also one from back home of her niece, who also appears to also be a Clinton supporter.
The singer also took a selfie with Clinton, tagging it “ImWithHer.” That post garnered more than 43,000 likes on the photo-sharing app.
Then, Perry shared some bling. She took a photo of a necklace that read “POTUS,” jewelry she said she’d give to Clinton as a gift.
Eventually Clinton took back over her account, later sharing a behind-the-scenes photo of their aforementioned selfie, and wishing her celebrity supporter a happy birthday. Perry turned 31 on Sunday.
