FIVE DAYS after he met with an accident, Bengali actor Pijush Ganguly breathed his last in Kolkata on Sunday.

Ganguly (50), survived by his wife and a son, passed away around 2.45 am, following a multi-organ failure and fat embolism at Belle Vue Clinic.

His condition turned critical on Saturday and he was put under ventilation with full life support as his parameters had been fluctuating massively. His condition deteriorated so much that doctors had to cancel the second operation that was slated last afternoon. Following postmortem examination at Calcutta Medical College, the body was taken to the actor’s Behala residence around 12.30 pm. From there, it was taken to the Technician Studio at 2 pm. He was cremated at Keoratola crematorium in south Kolkata.
