Everyone's favorite child dancer has been missing from Sia's performances as of late -- but not anymore. Fan
favorite Maddie Ziegler hasn't been in any videos for Sia's recent
releases, nor is she the young girl on the album cover. But just when
all hope was lost, the Australian singer brought Ziegler back for a performance of one of her new singles, "Alive," from her upcoming album This Is Acting on Ellen.
Sia -- or, rather, her legs -- are seen behind a large black dress
nailed to the wall while she sings and Ziegler dances her typically
erratic and emotional choreography.
Watch the video below: Sia also sat down for an interview with friend Ellen DeGeneres, during which the pair discussed Sia's signature face-obscuring wig. The
pop singer began wearing elaborate props and wigs to cover her face in
public when she gained international recognition years ago. Sia teased
Ellen that she began wearing wigs so she could "go to Target and buy a
hose if [she] wants to" or if she needs to go to the bathroom, she "can
go by the side of the road."
Eventually, the joke turned into
Ellen declaring Sia was going to take her wig off and reveal her face.
After several attempts to unpin the wig, holiday music began and it all
turned out to be a ploy to transition into Ellen's Christmas giveaway.
Those
disappointed by the duo's pranks will be relieved to know that a simple
Google Image search will show plenty of pre-international-fame pictures
of Sia's lovely face.
